Lip Lift
A lip lift can add volume and curvature to your mouth, reduce the appearance of aging, and promote facial harmony. This procedure permanently reshapes the lips to increase the prominence of the vermilion border and enhance the facial area around the mouth. It shortens the space between the nose and the top of the lips, often known as the philtrum.
The Procedure
During a lip lift, surplus skin is removed from the region between the base of your nose and your upper lip and your mouth is repositioned. Depending on the specific lip lift procedure, your surgeon may choose to elevate a different part of your mouth rather than the upper lip. Similarly, the location and number of incisions will vary by specific lift lip procedure. To finalize the lip lift, the incisions are sealed with small stitches. The stitches will be removed after a few days, with swelling and bruising beginning to dissipate within a week. You should be able to return to your normal activities within two weeks. Your lips may feel tight for a couple of months. It can take up to four months to see optimal results.
